I'm curious, specifically regarding the Longdance in the current roleplay, but also generally - what is the estimated number of unicorns that would be present?

Summer?

Winter?

Etc?

Any opinions on this would be helpful. I'm basically working on an intro post and I'm curious as to how to describe the number of unicorns there would be... without being completely vague.

In the Son of Summer Stars, Jan sees the Gather for the first time, he sees twelve score of plainsdwellers, maybe more. Which would equal around 240 unicorns.

I assume that this is actually a pretty big Gather for the plainsdwellers since they are celebrating Korr leaving the plains. So I would think that a Gather can range anywhere between 20 to 300 or more depending on how many unicorns are in the area and come calling.

I assume that the amount of unicorns there would have a lot to do with where it was, how much time unicorns had to pass the word, and what bands happened to be in the area. I don't know if weather would have a big contribution to play on numbers since the plains are so big and the plainsdwellers so spread out.
